What I Wore – May 2019

Good morning! The weather is changing, kind of and I figured I would do a little wrap up of some of the outfits I’ve worn recently. This What I Wore is going to be a little bit different than my previous one’s as there will be some outfits that I’ve worn in the past week, but I am also going to include some of the other outfits that I’ve started to put together for the warmer weather. The past week it has gone back to the chilly/rainy weather, so I’ll be alternating between current outfits and a couple of the new spring outfits that I have put together the past couple weeks.

I’ve definitely had to purchase a couple of things due to the amount of time we’ve been in a hotel, but I’m so pleased with what I’ve found and the shopping here in Europe is incredible.

So, without further ado, let’s break down some of my recent outfits…

I’ll start with the three outfits I have from last week. We’ve had a cool blast come through so all the cute spring things that I’ve picked out have fallen to the wayside and my sweaters have come back into play. Don’t worry, I’ll still show you those cute pretty things as well. I’m hoping that this cold spell will pass quickly and I’ll be back in dresses, skirts, and shorts soon.

Outfit #2: Another pair of skinny jeans and my favorite sweater. I purchased this sweater here in Germany and have gotten A LOT of use out of it. It just suits me, if I do say so myself.

Bottoms: Wallflower Jeans

Shoes: CL by Laundry

Outfit #3: The final outfit from this past week. The weather was a little bit warmer, so I tried to put a little “spring” in my step with a pair of Sperry’s and a much lighter 3/4 sleeve sweater.

Top: Vero Moda

Bottoms: Wallflower Jeans

Shoes: Sperry

Now, onto some of the spring outfits that I’ve been wearing when the weather allows it. I’ve picked up a couple other things as well and I just can’t wait to start pairing some new outfits together!

Spring Outfit #1: This dress was a spur of the moment buy. It definitely needs a slip underneath, but I love that it can be a good transition piece with a long cardigan and the deeper colors.

Dress: Wallflower

Cardigan: Wallflower

Shoes: Madden Girl

Spring Outfit #2: You’ll be seeing a lot of this skirt come warmer weather. It is a tie wrap skirt, with a stripe pattern and I am just in love. I haven’t had a denim skirt in ages and I am glad that I found one that just works for me! I felt so Easter/Spring on this day 🙂

Skirt: Review

Shoes: Sperry

Spring Outfit #3: You are going to see this dress at the very least once a week on me. I am in LOVE. It falls just so perfectly and I quite honestly think it could work on almost any body shape. It is THAT good.

Dress: Review

Shoes: Local Store

Sunglasses: Ray Ban

So that wraps up this month’s What I Wore. What did you think? Are you seeing spring weather yet, with the dresses and shorts that come along with it? Let me know!

What I Wore – March 2019

Good morning and welcome to another outfits I wore this past week! Now, we have been living in a hotel apartment and I’ve been limited to the clothes that I packed in my suitcase. I plan on picking up a couple of clothing items here and there as the weather starts to warm up (as I did not pack for the warmer weather that is sure to come…one day), but for the most part I’m sticking with some of my trusty favorites.

I will note, when packing I tried to go for a combination of comfy and nice. Items that I could wear out and about to dinners out (I do also have a couple of business casual items), but also items that I could lounge in our hotel in.

So, without further ado, here are the outfits I wore this past week:

IMG_9637.jpeg

Monday: I tried something kind of new and paired my new favorite slouchy jeans with a crew neck top and some White Sperry’s. We were headed out for a walk and it felt quite…sporty haha.

Top: Sams

Pants: Wallflower Jeans

Shoes: Sperry

IMG_9674.jpegTuesday: This morning we got our first dose of spring weather and playgroup so comfy and easy was what was needed. I was able to pull out one of my favorite tees (also in honor of Karl Lagerfeld’s death the past week).

Top: Karl Lagerfeld

Pants: Wallflower

Shoes: Sperry

IMG_9685.jpeg Wednesday was a smidge cooler, so I picked up a light sweater (the back is semi sheer) and boots. Any excuse to wear boots.

Top: Not sure? Target I think.

Bottoms: Wallflower

Shoes: Madden Girl

Thursday was all about comfort between my loose sweater (which is still a favorite) and my comfiest flats. Running up and down the shelves of the library required this 🙂

Pants: Wallflower

Shoes: Falls Creek

IMG_9744.jpegFriday has quickly become our sweats day. It is the only day of the week that we just stay in the hotel and relax.

Top: Target

Pants: Canadian Walmart

Shoes: Steve Madden Slippers

I don’t have a shot from Saturday as we were rushing out the door (in a fashion), but I wore just a graphic long sleeve top, with my winter jacket (it was definitely cold), jeans and sneakers.

IMG_9862.jpeg

And finally, Sunday. Sunday was a combination of at home and out and about. Picked out this trusty favorite and the comfiest flats for walking.

Pants: Wallflower

Shoes: Falls Creek

So, that was my week in outfits! On a different note, I think we have finally found a week routine that really works for us and I’m looking forward to seeing how it shapes and changes over the next few weeks. I hope you enjoyed!

What I Wore January 2019

Good morning! It is time once again for a What I Wore, this time featuring a mish mosh of all different things. Between the New Years Holiday, prepping the House for the movers, and navigating some other fun things it’s been back and forth between full on winter clothes and t-shirts/jeans. Enjoy!

IMG_8837.jpg

Sunday: Sunday was all about comfy and warm, but not hot as we were out and about running a variety of errands and then back to packing when we got home.

Top: Etsy online seller

Jeans: Wallflower Jeans

Shoes: Converse All Stars

I didn’t grab a picture on Monday as we had two sick kids, it was New Years Eve (which we normally spend in sweats anyways) and we didn’t plan on going anywhere.

IMG_8859.jpg Tuesday: Back into actually clothing after Monday, but still wanted to feel comfy (you’ll see a running theme here…mostly due to the amount of packing and moving we are doing right now).

Top: Amazon (yes, Amazon!)

Bottom: Wallflower Jeans

Shoes: Ugg Slippers

IMG_8889.jpg Wednesday: I tried to step my game back up a little bit on Wednesday, this was the first day we weren’t actively packing or running around. Still comfy- this sweater is one of my favorites!

Top: Calia by Carrie Underwood

Bottom: Wallflower Jeans

Shoes: Target

IMG_8904.jpg

Thursday: Another one of my favorite sweaters (and a favorite mug) as well as a favorite pair of wedge heels. We actually had to leave the house today and go to an area where my husbands works near, so I wanted to make sure I looked a little more presentable/professional.

Top: DressBarn

Bottoms: Wallflower Jeans

Shoes: Chinese Laundry

IMG_8942.jpg Friday: I think this might be one of my favorite outfits for the whole week. This shirt was a birthday gift and I’m absolutely obsessed (its a cat riding a bike- but seems very “Parisian”) and I paired it with a pair of heels from the same designer that I’m also obsessed with.

Top: Karl Lagerfeld

Bottom: Wallflower Jeans

Shoes: Karl Lagerfeld

IMG_8948.jpg Saturday: Out and running errands again- this time in the rain. I found this soft sweater in a surprising place, but it is so perfect for me for right now that I had to get it.

Top: Sams Club (it says Faith Hope Love)

Bottoms: Wallflower Jeans

Shoes: Target

I will share a couple of my accessories of late as well, as they have changed. For necklaces I’ve been wearing a little charm necklace that combines a couple of my favorite pendants, including a teardrop from Mermaids and Dinosaurs. I’ve also been loving and obsessing over my Maya Brenner Necklace (Christmas Gift pictured below). I’ve been sticking with a Mantra Band bangle bracelet that says “What if you fly”, something I need to be reminded of as well as another bracelet.

What I Wore: November 2018

I figured I would share another What I Wore post! I tracked my outfits for the past week and I’ve compiled them here for you. With the weather cooling down quite a bit, we are quickly moving past the “cute, cosy sweater look” and into the “layers, layers, and more layers”. Still loving this whole time of year though and I’m quickly starting to work through some of my newer sweaters to pull outfits together (I’ve added a couple new sweaters and a jacket this year).

So…let’s get into the outfits!

IMG_7859

Monday: You’ll see a theme for this week with a lot of sweaters, layered with Jeans and a pair of heels or “fancier” flats to dress it up.

Sweater: Amazon

Jeans: Wallflower Jeans

Shoes: Not sure, Ross from many many years ago!

IMG_7880

Tuesday: I think this might have been my favorite from the week. This sweater was a gift from last year and I’ve certainly gotten a lot of use out of it!

Sweater: The Loft

Jeans: Wallflower Jeans

Shoes: Target

IMG_7903Wednesday: Another sweater that I received as a gift last year, so I’m not sure if you can get it. This one is both a fun winter sweater, but is also a nice nod to a sport that was such a big part of my life for a while.

Sweater: The Loft

Jeans: Wallflower Jeans

Shoes: Target

IMG_7984Thursday: We went down the Casual Thursday route, instead of Casual Friday (although everything I wore this week is fairly casual) trying to stay comfy and costed up as the weather really started to get colder and grayer.

Top: Calia by Carrie

Jeans: Wallflower Jeans

Shoes: Ugg Slippers

IMG_7990Friday: Plain and simple with a black long sleeve, jeans, and a pair of nicer black mules.

Top: Target

Jeans: Wallflower Jeans

Shoes: MIA

I do not have a picture from Saturday as we had a jammy and pillow fort day.

IMG_8018Sunday: Back at it with the sweater, skinny jeans, and a pair of ankle booties to head out and run errands in the morning!

Top: Target

Jeans: Wallflower Jeans

Shoes: DSW

I also figured I would include my accessories for the week. My necklace is my newest piece from Mermaids and Dinosaurs and my watch is Skagen. I paired that with my Pandora Bracelet and Whipping Post Tote.

So that was my week in clothing! I hope that you enjoyed!

What I Wore September 2018

Good morning! I said a while back that I wanted to bring a little fashion to my little corner of the world wide web and I think I have found a couple ways to do that. I am going to be doing a What I wore posting *hopefully* once a month and then doing a “favorites of the season” type of post as the seasons change. I am by no means a fashion icon, or someone who even remotely knows what she is doing. I am just a mom trying to have more than just a “throw whatever I can” on style.

So, this first post is a What I Wore for the Week post. Below you’ll find photos of every outift I’ve worn 2 weeks ago (the timeline won’t be so long next time. It was hit and miss for this month).  I hope that you enjoy!

IMG_1069Monday was all about comfy/sporty as we headed out on a little shopping trip. I was surprised by this top as I am not really a horizontal stripes person and it was a shirt that just hit at the top of my jeans. I paired it with gently distressed skinnies and a pair of grey Sperry’s. All in all I really loved it!

Top: The Loft

Jeans: Wallflower Jeans

Shoes: Sperry

IMG_1093Tuesday was a little bit more Autumnal with more rain and a little bit cooler temps. I had an early morning appointment in an even cooler office, so I decided to dress up my jeans a smidge with a sweater and wedges. This is easily one of my favorite year round styles, and a staple look in my Autumn Wardrobe.

Top: Target (from a few years back)

Jeans: Wallflower Jeans

Shoes: Not sure?

IMG_6247Wednesday was what I refer to as my “office casual”. I work part time from home, and while that may mean that I don’t have to dress full office attire everyday, I do like to put myself together everyday and then dress office attire once or twice a week. I’ve gone on and on about how clothing makes a difference, so I won’t elaborate on that here, but needless to say I really like this type of office look.

Top: Chico’s

Skirt: Not Sure?

Shoes: Target (a few years back)

IMG_1259

Thursday features one of my new all time favorite tops. This plain white (almost just off white actually) top features a small low back, and bow detail cut outs on the arms. It is one of those simple, but delicate and elegant tops that can be paired with anything. The perfect go to to dress up any outfit.

Top: White House Black Market

Jeans: Wallflower Jeans

Shoes: Christian Siriano

IMG_6380Friday was, no surprise, casual Friday. You could argue that everyday for me is casual, but on Fridays I really just try to be more comfy and casual, preferring tee’s and mules to anything else. There is little thought put into these outfits, more so just what can I wear to end the work week on a high note.

Top: Target

Jeans: Wallflower Jeans

Shoes: JC

IMG_6436Saturday’s are family days for us. They are the days that we either explore, play, hike, whatever, as a family. We try to put everything aside and focus on some time together. This particular weekend we didn’t really do much, just lounged around at home and my outfit really reflects that. This top has long been a favorite since I got it a few years back and comes out when the weather starts to cool.

Top: I don’t actually remember…Ross or TJ Maxx I think

Bottom: Levi Jeans

Shoes: Ugg Slippers

IMG_1440Finally, Sunday’s are prep days for me. I run any errands, meal plan, get groceries, prep the weeks schedule and to do list. One of my favorite colors to bring out as Autumn starts to hit is this maroon shade. I just feel it is really Autumnal and this shade, along with the Orange just really make me feel Cosy

Top: Shirt is H&M, Jacket is Loft

Bottom: Wallflower Jeans

Shoes: Target

So that is What I Wore! I hope that you enjoyed this short look into my wardrobe and I look forward to doing more of these types of posts soon!
